Ways to DO GOOD!

In this class, we are responsible for our thoughts, our words, and our actions.  We want to live by the golden rule which says...

Do unto others as you would have done unto you.

This means that we treat each other how we would like to be treated.  In doing so, one of my favorite things is to do kind things for others.  We sometimes refer to this as RAKs.

RAK is an acronym for Random Acts of Kindness.  This is a page where we'll list things we can do to help others in our school and in our community.  Each week as a class, we'll add new things we've done and want to do to this page so others can see our example.

  1. Smile.
  2. Hold the door for others.
  3. Speak kindly.
  4. Pick up trash, even if it isn't yours.
  5. Help a friend with a problem they might be having.
  6. Carry a book for someone.
  7. Say please and thank you.
  8. Ask if there is anything you could help with in your classroom and at home.
  9. Compliment someone.
  10. Offer to help a neighbor out with mail, mowing, or their pet...without expecting money in return.
