Star Student

This page will be where we have information about our STAR STUDENT!  I will work with families to collect pictures and information about their likes, favorites, families, etc.  I will be the example for this week and we'll call it Getting to know Mrs. Nelson!

My name is Mrs. Nelson.  I am originally from Mulvane, Ks.  I have lived here most of my life with the exception of when I went away to college.  I attended Emporia State University for two years and then went to Wichita State University for one year.  I recently finished my degree at Southwestern College.  

I am married to Steve Nelson of Mulvane, Ks.  Mr. Nelson is an 8th grade History teacher at the Mulvane Middle School.  Together we have three sons.  Brett, 12, Tanner, 10, and Brady, 5.  We are big sports fans and I love watching my boys play sports.

 My favorite foods are tacos and pizza and I love sweets.  I drink diet Pepsi and can't go without my morning coffee.  We have one pet at our house and we love her dearly.  Her name is Baily.

I ran an in home daycare for ten years before I decided to finish my teaching degree.  This is my first year teaching and I am excited to share it with you and your families.
